My name is Garrett Austin Rossi Knox. I was born December of 2001 and have spent my life living under Manvel’s beautiful trees. I am a fourth-generation Italian American. My great-grandfather, Sam Rossi Sr., came to Manvel in the early 1900s and purchased a large tract of land, 100+ acres, where he started his family dairy farm.  

Today, our family runs the family RV park, Rossi Rv Park, on the original acreage. I often go for walks several times a week, back on the hundred-acre woods, to admire the many thousands of massive trees that are now more than half a century old. I have been an avid tree lover for years, but it wasn’t until about 2020 that I finally realized the importance of trees, big trees in particular. This passion has led to the launch of my first book, Big Trees of Manvel, and the creation of my small business, Live Oak Publishing LLC. 

I love the outdoors and I enjoy helping others find peace. I love gardening and sharing my crops with neighbors and family alike. 

I graduated from Bay Area Christian School in 2020 and have gone on to help expand my family’s real estate business and influence throughout Manvel, TX. An influence that is now intertwined with the natural world and the great trees that grow here. I will continue writing and bring the forests of this world alive for you the reader.
